Maltepe'de sahile yakın çok tatlı bir meydan. Etrafında birçok restaurant, bar, cafe ve yine çok şeker oturma elemanları ile değişik bir havuz var. Ara sokaklardan meydana doğru gelirken yerlerdeki mozaik döşemeler hemen merakınızı uyandırıp sizi bu küçük ama huzurlu mekana ulaştırıyor. Çok kalabalık olmasına rağmen, ağaçların etkisinden midir bilinmez garip bir dinginliği de var.

İstanbul un az sayıda araba gürültüsünden uzak tarihi meydanlarından biridir. Çevresindeki cafe ve restaurantlar ile şimdilerde oldukça daralan meydandır. Bu meydandaki kafelerde oturup muhabbet etmek tavla ve satranç oynamak, meyhanelerindeki lezzetler muhteşemdir. Bu keyfi tatmanız ve tarihi sokakları ile meydanı gezmenizi tavsiye ederim.

90’lı yıllarda ikamet ettiğimin yer. Şimdi eski ruhu kalmamış. Heryer alkol mekanı olmuş ve bu mekanlar yolları işgal ederek tarihi beşçeşmeler dokusuna darbe vurmuş. Maltepe belediyesi buna nasıl izin veriyor anlamıyorum.
