Yapı Bizans döneminde 16.yüzyıla kadar dayanmaktadır.Kilise'nin ismi Meryem Ana'nın ölümüne ithafden konulmuştur. Mimarı bilinmemekle birlikte taş ve moloz yoluyla inşa edilmiştir.Şu anda Beşiktaş köyiçi meydanı sokakta bulunmaktadır.
