Eski Malatya kalesinin kuzey cephesinde, "çatlak" denen eski mesire alanı mevkiinde, sur kapısı girişinde, içerisinde Emir Ömer bey yatırı olan küçük bir mescittir. Kesme taş ile yapılan bu mescit, giriş kapısı işlemeciliği ile Osmanlı mimarisinin tipik bir örneğidir. Adı geçen Emir Ömer Melik Sunullah ailesine mensup birisi olarak gösterilmektedir. Taş Mescid de denilen bu camiyi 1360’da Malatya’yı Eretnalılardan alan Melik Sunullah ailesinden Emirü’l-Azam Celaleddin Ömer tarafından yaptırıldığı tahmin edilmektedir. Giriş cephesindeki kitabeye göre Emirü’l -Azam ünvanlı Ömer bey tarafından 1563 yılında yaptırılmıştır. Fakat bu kitabe tamir kitabesidir. Kuzey cephesinde bulunan 1563-1564 tarihli tamir kitabesi, Miralay Hüsrev Bey tarafından tamir ettirildiğini göstermektedir. Dikdörtgen planlı mescid, düzgün kesme taş ve kaba yontu taştan inşa edilmiştir, örtüsü düz dam şeklindedir. Giriş kısmının batısında bir mezar bulunmaktadır.
