Tarlabaşı bulvar düzenlemesinde ortaya çıkan eskiden önünden troleybüs geçen camidir. Bugün banisinin I. Selim'in süt annesi olduğu ve yapınin da 1511 yılında yaptırıldığını belirten yeni bir kitabe vardır. 1871 yılındaki Beyoğlu yangınında harap olduğu tahmin edilen bu yapının yerine Vakıflar Idaresi 1911-1914 yılları arasında Mimar Kemaleddin Bey'e bugünkü camiyi yaptırmıştır.
