Köprülü ailesinin son büyük temsilcisi, Haliç'i Aksaray'a bağlayan vadinin Fatih yamacında yaptırdığı bir külliye, çok deprem ve yangın geçirmiş, değişikliklere uğramış, 1700 yapılan külliyenin programı medrese, kütüphane,sıbyan mektebi ve kurucunun da mezarı olan bir hazireden oluşur.

Amcazade Hüseyin Paşa; Sadrazam Köprülü Mehmed Paşa’nın küçük kardeşi Hasan Ağa’nın oğludur. Amcasının oğlu Fâzıl Ahmed Paşa’nın sadrazamlığı sırasında Amcazâde diye şöhret bulmuştur. Çeşitli devlet görevlerinde bulunan Hüseyin Paşa, Sultan II. Mustafa zamanında Sadrazam olarak görev yapmış olup 1702 yılında vefat etmiştir.
