Our walking tour begins in the Fener district, where we'll immediately see a Greek church and a historic Greek primary school. After that, we climb those famous, much-photographed colorful stairs. On the route, you'll see the house of the Romanian prince Dimitrie Cantemir, the Church of St. Mary of the Mongols (Bloody Church) dating from 1266, and the majestic Phanar Greek Orthodox College (Red School).

Next, we head to the Panagia Paramythia Church and cross into the Balat district. Here, the Bulgarian Church, known as the 'Iron Church' because it was constructed from cast iron, will surely amaze you. Of course, we won't skip the area's famous wooden houses. We'll complete our tour at one of the city's oldest synagogues, the 15th-century Ahrida Synagogue, and cap off this historic trip with a cup of Turkish coffee.
