The Gedikpaşa Hamam was built in 1457 by order of Gedik Ahmet Pasha, meaning it has 550 years of history. It's located right in the heart of Istanbul, just across from the iconic Grand Bazaar. Spanning 2350 square meters, it's hard not to be impressed by its breathtaking 16-meter-high ceiling.

This place is more than a bath; it's a living piece of Turkish tradition. It features completely separate sections for men and women, with services provided by therapists of the same gender.

The ritual is a classic: First, you work up a good sweat from the heat of the central stone (göbek taşı) and marble floors, letting the steam soften your skin. Then, a skilled attendant uses a traditional kese (an exfoliating mitt) to scrub away all the dead skin. You’ll feel your skin breathe. After the kese, a foam massage continues the indulgence, soothing your muscles and helping you fully relax.
