If you find yourself in Samsun or are wondering, "What should we do this weekend?", the answer you're looking for is right here. The list of things to do on Atakum Beach is so long that it promises you an adventure. Let's explore together what awaits you on this unique coastline and feel its energy to the fullest!
Stroll along one of the longest and most vibrant coastlines of the Black Sea
When you think of Samsun, one of the first places that comes to mind is undoubtedly Atakum Beach. This isn't just a sandy shore; it's a living space stretching for kilometers where the social heart of the city beats. This wide coastal strip, starting from the Kürtün Stream in the city center and extending westward, shows you the most modern and organized face of the Black Sea. The feeling of spaciousness that envelops you from the moment you step on it is unlike anywhere else!

One of the most important details that makes Atakum special is its Blue Flag beaches. With a total of 10 Blue Flag beaches, this place is like proof of cleanliness and safety. You'll understand what I mean when you see how clear the sea is and how well-maintained the sand is at spots like İnci Beach. These flags are not just a symbol; they are a guarantee that you can spend time with your family and loved ones with peace of mind. The free changing cabins and toilets placed at frequent intervals along the coast are also wonderful details designed for your comfort.
As you walk, the endless blue of the Black Sea on one side and modern buildings, lush green parks, and cheerful people on the other accompany you. This coast is just one of the beauties Samsun has to offer. If you want to explore the entire city, you can check out our comprehensive guide to

Rent a bike or watch the sunset in the evening
One of the most enjoyable ways to experience Atakum Beach is definitely by riding a bike. Thanks to the special bike path that stretches for kilometers, you can pedal freely while feeling the cool breeze of the Black Sea on your face. So, where can you get a bike? Don't worry, the solution is very simple.

SAMBİS (Samsun Smart Bike System) stations, located at certain points along the coast, come to your rescue. You can rent a bike by the hour for a very reasonable price with your credit card or membership card and return it to any station you want. This system is great for a spontaneous decision to "Let's go for a ride!" If you prefer a more professional or different type of bike, you can also choose private rental shops around the coast.
The most romantic and peaceful way to end the day is undoubtedly watching the sunset. After completing your bike tour, witnessing the magnificent play of colors in the sky, turning from orange to red, is priceless. One of the most ideal spots for this is the Çobanlı Public Pier, which extends 400 meters over the sea. Walking to the end of the pier and watching the sun disappear into the sea as the city lights come on will leave you with an unforgettable memory. You can also enjoy this moment while sipping your drink at one of the cafes on the beach.
While You're Here...
After fully enjoying the energy of Atakum Beach, if you're wondering, "What else is nearby?", we have two great suggestions for you. Be sure to add these two spots to your list to get away from the coast for a bit and have different experiences:
Amisos Hill: Wouldn't you like to see the coast from a bird's eye view? Amisos Hill, which you can reach by cable car, offers a breathtaking view that lays the entire Atakum coastline and the Black Sea at your feet.
Çakırlar Grove: If you want some peace and quiet with nature after the hustle and bustle of the beach, Çakırlar Grove is the place for you. You can have a picnic among the lush green trees or take a peaceful walk on the wooden pathways.

Karadeniz'in en uzun ve kesintisiz plajı.
@emineersoy244

@taylantomrukcu
Türkiyenin en güzel plajlarından. Kumu çok özel. Benim gibi çakıllı deniz sevmeyenler için muhteşem. Karadenizin havası belli olmuyor tabi ama güzel havalarda akdenize fark atar. Dalgalı havalarda ekstra dikkat edilmesi lazım. Kum kayması ve ters akıntı can kaybına sebebiyet verebiliyor.
@isabayya
Kumsal geniş ve uzun fakat dalgalı iken bile çok kalabalık, cankurtaranlar dubaları geçmenize izin vermiyor maksimum 10 metre kadar sonra ip var, ve pis pis pis denizde bir sürü ÇÖP! yüzüyor, yosun yüzüyor, duşlar, kabinler, WC yetersiz, WC lerde sabun yok, soyunma kabinlerinde idrar kokusundan durulmuyor, temmuzda öğleden akşama kadar dalgaliydi, bir daha asla orada denize girmem, zaman kaybi, tavsiye etmiyorum doğu Karadeniz temiz dalgasız, samsun plajları İstanbul'dan farkı kalmamış kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum.
@mrvx
@serkantarkan
@ruzgarinoglu5306
Sırf hamsi bile yeter Karadeniz i sevmek için..
@yucelkantarci9892
@yilmazonder
