ilginç bir hikayesi var bu ibadet mekanının ...Mardin'de yaşayan süryaniler göç ettikten sonra yanlarında Mardin'e özgü taşları getirmişler ve İskenderun'da bu taşları kullanarak bir kilise inşa etmişler.Karakteristik bir mimarisi var,sade ama toplumsal hafızaya uygun.Görülmesi tavsiye edilir.Hemen aynı cadde üzerinde Rum Katolik Kilisesi vardır.
