Has the endless hustle, traffic, and noise of the city worn you out? Do you sometimes find yourself looking for a place where you can just stop for a moment, breathe, and connect with green and water? At times like these, there's a place waiting for you like an oasis in the heart of Sakarya, in Erenler: Sakarya Park. If you're wondering about the things to do in Sakarya Park, you've come to the right place. This guide has been prepared for you to discover this peaceful escape by the river. Welcome to Sakarya Park, one of those rare places where you can meet nature without leaving the city!
Relax in the spacious green area along the Sakarya River
The first thing that greets you when you step into Sakarya Park is the seemingly endless lush green lawns. Sprawling over a massive 120-decare area, this park is literally a breath of fresh air. Whether you're taking a brisk walk for your morning exercise or strolling slowly by the river in the cool of the evening, the well-maintained walking paths here will accompany you.
One of the best features of the park is the viewing terraces specifically designed for watching the Sakarya River. Grab a coffee, sit on one of these terraces, and let go of all the day's stress while watching the river flow. If you're looking for a quiet corner away from barbecue smoke and crowds, where you can just read your book and listen to the sound of the river, Sakarya Park is perfect for you. You're free to come with your picnic basket and spread out on the grass, but lighting a barbecue is not allowed. This helps maintain the park's peaceful and serene atmosphere.

Spend time at the cafes and restaurants inside the park
After a long walk and breathing in the fresh river air, it's time to relax a bit. Even if you haven't brought anything with you, there's no need to worry. Sakarya Park has you covered with its on-site food and beverage venues. These places are great options for sipping a hot tea or having a cool drink with a view of the river.
The social facilities within the park are likely operated by BELPAŞ, a subsidiary of the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality. This means you can sit down with your family for a meal or a drink without worrying about exorbitant prices. Quality service and reasonable prices make these facilities even more attractive. There's nothing like a warm coffee after your walk in the park. While the facilities in the park offer this, if you're looking for more options, you can also check out our list of the Things to Do in Sakarya prepared by Local Guide.

Have fun as a family in the children's playgrounds and themed areas
Sakarya Park is a paradise for families. The most cheerful and lively corners of the park are undoubtedly the children's playgrounds. Equipped with safe and modern play equipment, these areas are specially designed for children to have a great time while burning off energy. With slides, swings, and climbing structures, the little ones will have their fill of fun here.
But Sakarya Park hasn't only thought of young children. The large grassy areas are perfect for playing frisbee, and the long walking paths offer great opportunities for teenagers to skate or ride bikes. In other words, every member of the family can find an activity to enjoy here. While your children are having fun in the playground, you can sit on the nearby benches and watch them or simply enjoy the greenery.
