The Aşiyan Museum started to be built in 1905 and became ready to be used in 1906. This house, which is known to have survived in 1906 and 1915 by Tevfik Fikret, was rented by his wife as a place to stay for the students due to financial livelihood after being used for a while after the death of Tevfik Fikret. Afterwards, it was decided by Hasan Ali Yücel and Lütfi Kırdar to turn this art full of art into a museum. Following this decision, the belongings of the important artists of the Tanzimat Literature and Literature-i Cedide period were collected in 1945. And in 1945, the Museum was opened to visitors under the name of Literature-i Cedide. The grave of Tevfik Fikret was buried in this museum after 1961 and the name of the museum was changed to the Aşiyan Museum. This house, where Tevfik Fikret is currently living, is open to people's visit as the Aşiyan Museum.

Aşiyan Museum sections are divided into many parts and each section functions separately. There are 9 sections with the garden in this house with 3 floors and located in a garden. The section where administrative works are collected is considered as the ground section. The hall is located on the ground floor of the house. It is the room where poet Tevfik Fikret's wax statue is located. Inspired by Tevfik Fikret's poem titled Sis, the painting of the Ottoman caliph Şehzade Abdülmecid Efendi and the painting of Tevfik Fikret's own work “chrysantial vase” and “Nazime Hanım Baby Backs” are presented to people in this section. There is a separate corner for the photographs of Hüseyin Efendi's father Hüseyin Efendi and his son Haluk. On the first floor, there is the Literature Room where the important names of that period were given the name of the literary-i cedideciler. In this room, there are important pieces such as books and photographs belonging to Literature-i Cedideciler. Another room on the first floor is the room that takes the name of Abdulhak Hamit. These; Personal items, photographs, work desk, tables. In the same way, the room, which has important and valuable items of the poet Nigar and has taken its name, takes its place on the first floor. This part of the house includes the goods and archives of the poet Nigâr Hanım's son Salih Keramet Nigar donated to the museum. The second floor of the house is reserved for Tevfik Fikret. On the second floor there is a bedroom and study room that the famous poet used for years. The bedroom is the section where Tevfik Fikret died of this life. The face mask, which was taken by Mihri Müşfik Hanım after his death, is one of the most important works in this section.
